Competition program for teens experienced in tennis.
Program provides competition experience and training. It is a great way for experienced tennis playing teens ages 13* to 18 keep playing between varsity seasons, get exercise, make new friends, find practice partners, improve competition tennis skills.
On court with Suffolk County's top Varsity Tennis Coaches.
Live ball format with peers develops competition skills.
Ideal for preparing players for competition experience while developing an enjoyment for tennis.
Many Yellow Division players play on or are preparing to tryout for varsity tennis teams.

Ages 13* thru 18. Some exceptions for younger players with tournament competition and rankings.
Please note: NOT APPROPRIATE FOR BEGINNERS AND ADVANCED BEGINNERS.

Players:
Improve tennis skills using rally progressions.
Learn tactics by playing games including singles and doubles.
Rules of tennis and how to practice with others included in every training theme.
Training format develop and supervised by top Suffolk County Varsity Tennis Coaches including, 2 USTA National Coaches and Specialist in Competitive Player Development.
Work on match play skills and experience by playing challenge matches and games against members of school tennis teams from all over Suffolk County.
Activities include:
Tactical games
Singles and doubles.
Site Team Matches.
Challenge Week Tournament preparation..
Activities include tennis skill building team drills and Game Based tactical skill building games including: USTA nationally recognized Top 10 Games.

Challenge Day Team tournament medals for players whose registration includes Challenge Week.
Players will need to provide:
Age specific tennis racquet. - Yellow: 27” (full size).
Clothing: Shirts, shorts, sneakers (no sandals or flip flops).
Personal: Water, sunscreen and anything personally required.
Program culminating event for players whose registration includes Challenge Day.
Singles Challenge is a Singles Tournament event . Scheduled for Tuesday, August 15, 2023
Doubles Challenge is a Doubles Tournament. Scheduled for Wednesday, August 16, 2023
Team Challenge is a Team Tournament event. Players will experience team competition for Challenge medals and Challenge Site Cup points. Scheduled for Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Challenge Competition medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Players will receive their SCJTL program medal at the end of the Challenge and meet receive SCJTL program and Challenge Day medals are distributed after the games.
