League Runtime determined once enough teams are registered.

Club tennis for high school tennis players.
The first high school varsity club tennis league in the USA!

Varsity off-season tennis team competition. Teams organized and managed by high school tennis players.

Format: World Team Tennis / USTA Junior Team Tennis
League organization design similar to USTA Adult Leagues
Experience similar to College Club Tennis

DATES: Dates are tentative. Schedule determined once enough teams are formed.

No sessions: 12/27, 2/8 (Super Bowl)
Season length determined by number of teams registered. Minimum 4 teams/sessions

Teams are comprised of Minimum 8 players - Maximum 10 players.

Team Captain select by team..

Gender neutral - Ideal: 4 boys and 4 girls - Any combination accepted this first season.

Matches players: 2 singles, 3 doubles 1 set -no-ad (time limit per match)

Season length = number of teams registered : Minimum 4 - Maximum of 8 sessions

Weekly competition for position - plus Play Off.

USTA Non-Advancing league. Not affiliated with Section XI.

Total Team Registration fee: $1200 per team

Fee per player breakdown.

Teams and Match

Team size and roster.

  • Minimum 8 players. Maximum 12 players per team (up to 4 alternates may be added).
  • Must be varsity level tennis players.
  • Player looking for teams may be matched up.
  • Sportime or USTA membership not required.
  • Ideal roster: even number of boys/girls.
    Any combination accepted this first season.
  • Teams registration fee paid by is divided by total number 8 players per match.
    Teams arrange own alternate player rotations.
  • Each team designates 1 Captain.
    Team matches managed by players only.
    Captains awards "Certificate of Leadership".
  • Teams may select team name - uniforms, team banners, and accessories subject to approval by League Commissioner.

Match play:

  • 5 Matches played per session.
    1 boys (1st) singles - 1 girls (2nd) singles
    1 boys (1st) doubles - 1 girls (2nd) doubles
    1 mxd (3rd) doubles.
  • Players may play on the same school tennis team or different schools.
    Minimum age 13 years old.
    Should have varsity tennis team experience.
    No limit on player levels.
  • Singles and doubles matches for team total.
  • Matches supervised by on site SCJTL League Coordinator.
  • Team results and standing recorded and posted.
  • Team trophies for 1st - 2nd - 3rd place teams.
  • County Championship at end of season.

2015 Season schedule*:

  • Registration deadline Thursday, November 28, 2014.
  • Captains meeting: Sunday, November 30, 2014
    6:00 pm at each League site.
  • Matches start December 7. 2014
    *All dates subject to change.

Registration and payment:

  • Registration and payment made online.
    Captain sets up team registration.
    Players register under Captain name.
  • Mail-in registrations accepted.
    Processed online and confirmed by email.
  • Booster Club payment by check applied to team registration when received.
    Sunday December 7, 2014 - 6:00 pm at each League site.


  • Rules of Tennis and Code of Conduct and Sportsmanship apply.
  • All League rules, issues, and conduct addressed and subject to approval by League Commissioner.

Sportime Kings Park Benefits:
For registered players  and alternates in the SC Varsity tennis league during the Varsity League season.

  • Friday drill session with staff pro – 7pm to 9pm - $20 – min 6 players. Added courts with more players as needed. –
    No membership required.
  • Sat- Jr. members team practice walk on privileged for registered team members and alternates.
    Walk-on court time may be reserved up to 2 hours before courts availability.
    Call 631-269-6300. Tell desk staff you are a members of the Suffolk County High School League,  or Joe Arias high school League.Please let me know if you have any difficulties reserving a court.
  • One free Dev. Elite group trial – free – contact Jeff Morys (Sportime Director of Tennis).
  • No initiation fee for players who sign up for Sportime membership. - $100 savings
